This certified organic, Indonesian coffee bean is shade grown in rich volcanic soil at an altitude of 2500 ft, creating a full-bodied cup with a concentrated earthy chocolate flavor, herbal nuances and a spicy finish that lingers on the palate.
Giling Basah, the name of the traditional Sumatran process, involves hulling the parchment off of the bean at roughly 50% moisture content; for comparison, most other processes hull coffee at around 10-12% moisture.
